The bike tour begins along the river Salzach down the river to Oberndorf, the place of origin of the famous Christmas carol "Silent Night". On to the Augustinian convent in Michaelbeuern and into the lake region Trumer-Seenland (Obertrumersee, Mattsee, Grabensee). You spend the night in a special, historically interesting place.

Today you travel across the European Nature Reserve "Wenger Moor" to Neumarkt and on to Irrsee, in the Salzkammergut you continue to Mondsee with its castle and the Benedictine monastery, where your taste buds will be spoilt.

Day 4: Lake Mondsee – Lake Traunsee, approx. 50 km

You continue along Lake Mondsee; in Unterach am Attersee you take the boat to Weyregg. From Weyregg you cycle through the valley Aurachtal on to Gmunden with its unique ceramic glockenspiel and your special place of accommodation.

Day 5: Lake Traunsee – Bad Aussee/Hallstatt, approx. 30 km

Today we cycle a short distance to the railway station and take the train to Obertraun/Bad Aussee am Hallstättersee with its mighty Dachstein glacier massif and its charming ice caves. You continue by bike along the lake shore to today’s destination, the world heritage site of Hallstatt. Here you have the opportunity of visiting the charnel house and the salt mine.

Day 6: Hallstatt – Lake Wolfgangsee, approx. 50 km

We begin the day with a boat trip across Lake Hallstättersee and continue on to Bad Goisern and the imperial health resort Bad Ischl. During today’s stage you cycle on the Ischlertrasse (between 1891 and 1957 the historical railway route between Salzburg and Bad Ischl). The route takes you along the lake shore to St. Gilgen, the birthplace of Mozart’s sister Nannerl.
